We are seeking a meticulous and organized part time Staff Scheduler to join our team at Colonial Vista Post Acute. As a vital part of our operations, you will play a key role in ensuring that the facility is adequately staffed at all times, providing exceptional care to our patients. You will work closely with the Administrator and director of nursing to establish staffing needs and requirements, taking into consideration various factors such as patient demand, budget constraints, and staff availability. Your expertise in scheduling will directly impact the efficiency of facility operations and the well-being of our patients and staff alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining staff schedules, addressing scheduling conflicts, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain staff schedules for the nursing department to ensure optimal coverage at all times.

  • Collaborate with administrator and director of nursing to assess staffing needs based on patient volume and service requirements.

  • Address and resolve scheduling conflicts and call in's promptly, using effective communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Track time-off requests to facilitate accurate scheduling adjustments.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements in staff scheduling.

  • Utilize scheduling software and tools to streamline the scheduling process and maintain accurate records.


Requirements


  • Proven experience in staff scheduling or related administrative role within a healthcare setting a plus

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple schedules.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and management effectively.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Understanding of labor laws and regulations related to healthcare staffing.

  • Ability to work flexible hours
