Job Summary

The Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring customer-defined quality requirements are clearly understood and effectively communicated across the organization. Key responsibilities include developing quality plans from engineering drawings and determining the gage and fixture requirements.  This position emphasizes the use of problem-solving tools to drive process improvements and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Essential Functions


  • Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products.

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical or mechanical.

  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instruction for recording, evaluation and reporting quality and reliability data.

  • Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. 

  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $76,750 to $102,337. The exact salary may be determined on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Required


  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED

  • 4 years of related experience

Preferred 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • 10 years of related experience

  • ASQ Certification

  • APICS Certification
