The Inside Sales Representative will sell products for distribution to our customers. This position will receive orders from customers and input that information into the computer system to create sales orders. The Inside Sales position will also drive repeat business by ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Function
Create and build trusted relationships with customer by understanding your customers business, Reliance's capabilities, and products, addressing concerns or complaints and providing excellent customer service
Work with Outside Sales to create a strategy for selling to your assigned customers, maintain necessary records, drawing files, track specific inventory items, understand their strengths, products and competition.
Handle all emails, phone calls, texts and other types of communication from customers
Efficiently enter customer quotations/sales orders into the system computer
Create Material Return Authorizations when needed
Maintain needed customer files and records
Update customer prices, part numbers, etc.
Visit customers occasionally to maintain good customer relationships
Know, understand and follow all company policies related to human resources and the Safety and Environmental Health Program of Reliance Metalcenter - this includes but is not limited to attendance,
All other duties as assigned by the Inside Sales Manager
Code of Conduct, cell phone policy, dress code etc.
Required Skills
Minimum of 5 years' sales experience in the metals industry or Associates Degree required. Excellent phone etiquette including professional language, listening skills, courtesy, and customer service Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. eStelPlan computer software experience a plus. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers
