Job Summary:
The Consumer Services Manager is a leader responsible for managing and anticipating the needs of the branch, with a focus on sales, customer service, facility maintenance, regulatory compliance and growth. The Consumer Services Manager will coach, lead and motivate branch employees, directing them to identify the financial needs of customers while fostering a customer-centered branch environment where client relationships are developed. This person will also originate and monitor a budget to enhance branch profitability. The position requires some evening and weekend availability for community and Bank-sponsored events.
Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the branch
Provides guidance and direction to branch staff
Manages customer service provided by team and serves as the point of contact for customer issues and resolutions
Identifies risks and inefficiencies and recommends improvements. Oversees branch security, manages risk, and makes appropriate recommendations and corrections
Oversees audit practices and controls
Actively participates in annual strategic planning sessions; collaborates to implement appropriate actions items within the branch. Prepares annual budget and monitors for trends/variances
Reviews Branch Profitability Statements to determine strategy/recommendations
Directs and coordinates branch facility maintenance needs
Develops and facilitates a branch sales plan, coaching to strong results, while following the sales ethic road map
Conducts talent and staffing activities, including evaluations and touchpoints
Approves wires, bill pay, mobile, ACH, RDC, and loans (within authority) for the branch and other branches when necessary
Possesses a knowledge of the bank's products and procedures to assist clients and employees
Develops and manages a client portfolio and refers business to bank partners
Makes sales calls on current and prospective clients, entering calls into CRM
Attends events and activities on behalf of the bank to network and promote the Bank's brand
Participates in the bank's internal committees to strengthen interbank relationships and support initiatives
Performs other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
At least five years of retail branch experience is required
At least five years of consumer underwriting/lending is required
At least three years of experience leading a team is required
Signature Medallion certification within 90 days is required
Notary Public within 30 days is required
Previous active community involvement preferred
NMLS upon hire is required
Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Strong analytical skills necessary to evaluate credit requests, prepare budgets and determine trends in a given marketplace

Thorough knowledge of the bank's products and services and loan underwriting
Thorough knowledge of regulatory, policy and compliance issues

Thorough knowledge of human resources issues, including performance management and progressive discipline
Knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation and systems
Thorough knowledge of teller and platform functions
Strong background in retail sales and sales management practices; with the ability to coach and train employees
Effective leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Budget development and monitoring skills
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills are key to this position.
Ability to interact effectively with clients and internal bank departments is critical
Digital Banking knowledge
Ability to work independently and use electronic resources
Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
Effective public speaking and presentation skills
Hiring Salary Range
The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $86,000 – 102,000.
