We are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate all phases of heavy civil construction activity associated with Bridge & Highway construction. The project work is centered on site-work, deep foundations, structural concrete, concrete paving, and general construction in the DOTD and Infrastructure Market. The Project Manager will track and manage scope, budget, and schedule to safely and effectively complete all assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
Planning: Create a project plan, including timelines, deliverables, and specifications
Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates and budgets, and manage the budget throughout the project
Scheduling: Create a schedule for the project and ensure tasks are completed on time
Managing subcontractors: Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors
Quality control: Ensure the project meets quality standards
Safety: Ensure the project complies with safety regulations
Communication: Work with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project objectives
Tracking: Track project activities from start to finish
Risk management: Identify, assess, and control financial, legal, and other risks
Must be an avid and staunch advocate for Health and Safety at all levels on project sites with a zero tolerance policy.
Provides leadership to project and administrative staff members as assigned.
Must manage and interact with first-line supervisors and/or professional staff.
Develops written financial and operational objectives and plans within own area.
Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives and operations.
Must have in-depth functional expertise and broad business knowledge of all aspects of Heavy Civil Construction.
Applies managerial expertise to achieve financial and operational objectives within own area.
Develops relationships with key internal personnel and external customers to identify emerging needs.
Anticipates demands to align operational priorities.
Manages resources to ensure financial objectives are met within own area.
Resolves complex problems that have implications beyond own area.
Influences customer and/or organizational leadership to accomplish operational objectives.
Manages the performance of employees through goal setting, ongoing assessment, and coaching.
Computer proficient and Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Typically has 5+ years of relevant Heavy Site Civil Construction experience.
Lead by example and promote our high standards and reputation for excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree preferred but will accept experience in lieu of.
Viewpoint VISTA experience is a plus.
Previous Project Management experience on DOTD Projects

Work environment includes office machines, electronics and filing systems;
Frequent lifting materials weighing up to 50 pounds;
Constant sitting, typing and reaching for long periods of time;
Must have good hand/eye coordination;
Required to sit at a computer for several hours at a time.
