JOB SUMMARY


The Manager, Asset Management is responsible for developing, leading, and managing a team of analysts supporting 5 regional asset managers and key asset management initiatives across the portfolio. This role includes oversight of and participation in financial forecasting, reporting, leasing analysis, and valuations to support strategic decision-making to drive optimal portfolio performance. The Manager collaborates with VPs Asset Management to develop asset and portfolio strategies and provide financial analysis to support investment decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, develop and mentor analysts, providing guidance regarding strategic thinking for lease analysis, financial analysis, and valuations to support asset management. Ensure efficient team operations and resource allocation.  Develop training resources for analyst team.  


  • Transaction Management: Support and manage property transactions, including  leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.


  • Strategic Asset Management: Support development of annual business plans for JV portfolios and execute value creation or exit strategies.  


  • Financial Analysis & Modeling: Support and assist in the preparation of financial models and analyses (e.g., DCF, IRR, NPV), and maintain property-level and portfolio-level Argus models.


  • Financial Forecasting & Reporting: Support the development, review, and analysis of annual property budgets and quarterly reforecasting, including assumptions on leasing, revenue, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.


  • Market Research & Analysis: Support analysts to develop strategies for market research and competitive analysis to inform asset strategy.


  • Reporting: Support the preparation, review and present financial reports, materials, and ad hoc analysis as requested by VP Asset Management and senior management, including quarterly and monthly reporting of property and portfolio performance for senior leadership, JV partners, and lenders.


  • Loan Management: Support the analysts in preparing loan reports and coordinating advances from lenders when applicable.


  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Direct analysts on various assignments and contribute to strategic asset management initiatives.  Will provide support to VP – Asset Management on portfolio level projects. 


  • External & Internal Communications: Serve as a point of contact for partners, brokers, and tenants. Communicate asset strategies and decisions effectively to stakeholders. Collaborate across internal teams to ensure strategic alignment.

TRAVEL


Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, or transactions. 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS




  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in real estate asset management or finance, with a focus on managing teams and complex portfolios.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred.


  • Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, market analysis, and real estate financial software (e.g., Argus, Excel).


ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS


Possession of a valid driver’s license. 


Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
