We are seeking an experienced Banquet Captain who can expertly execute our banquet events. This role may involve leading team members through coaching and providing direction, and may also include training. The Banquet Captain is responsible for ensuring that the function space is visually appealing and that the menu offerings for the event are presented effectively. This includes setting up linens and table settings, designing food stations, and providing beverage service. Additional responsibilities consist of general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment



What will I be doing?


Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:



  • Supervise food and beverage service throughout banquet functions to ensure quality service and product quality

  • Assist with the planning, organizing, and execution of all banquet functions including, but not limited to, breakfast, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, galas, etc.

  • Greet and welcome client representatives and guests, responding to requests in a timely, friendly,y and efficient manner

  • Participate in and lead department meetings

  • Process banquet checks accurately and efficiently for payment

  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service

  • Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations

  • Must have a Flexible schedule- To include Mornings, Afternoons, Holidays and Weekend's 

  • Leadership skills and Comfortable talking and engaging with the client and guests 

What are we looking for?



  • Experience and a comprehensive understanding of banquet service with at least 1-2 years of experience as a banquet  captain or lead in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to pay attention to details 

  • A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment and able to make changes per the client's request 

  • Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight such as tables.chairs

  • Ability to effectively communicate with client representatives and guests

Starting Pay: $19.20/hr. plus banquet gratuities
