This role has 2 openings within the accounting department, an Accounts Payable Overhead and Accounts Payable Trucking. Both roles will work closely with branch locations, outside vendors, and internal JAS staff to ensure invoices are processed timely and resolve any disputes.
Essential Functions:
• Process invoices, and payment requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support other AP team members with invoice coding, approvals, and data entry.
• Assist in reconciling vendor statements, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely payments.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing AP reports and reconciliations.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues and discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of Excel.
Strong communication skills via phone and email.
Ability to work in a paperless environment.
V-Lookups and the filtering of data is a plus
Call Center experience a plus.

Strong team player but also capable of working independently.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
Detail oriented, ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Minimum 2 years proven work experience.
Accounts Payable experience is highly desired, but not mandatory.
Experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation or freight forwarding preferred.
Work Environment:
The ability to work in the work environment and adhere to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
