The National Accounts Excess Casualty division of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join our Los Angeles or San Francisco office.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Manage the Western Region Territory for Umbrella and Excess Casualty business
  
  


• Analyze risk data of proposed insureds to identify hazards and exposures for new and renewal business
  
  


• Implement underwriting rationale through exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing of individual risks
  
  


• Adhering to underwriting rules and guidelines
  
  


• Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate a flow of desirable new business and to maintain renewal business via quality service
  
  


• Collaborating with other product lines to provide full product support to the client
  
  

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or above and/or insurance certifications
  
  


• A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in underwriting excess casualty business
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business
  
  


• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  
  


• Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills
  
  


• Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environment
  
  


• Customer-oriented approach

For CA only: The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $205,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
