Job Summary: The Second Shift Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery during the second shift. This role ensures that all production equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous production. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing environment and be able to work independently during the second shift.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment and machinery.


• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.


• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and address potential problems.


• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize production downtime.


• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.


• Collaborate with the production team to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.


• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.


• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.


• Maintain an organized and clean work area, including maintenance tools and equipment.


• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.


• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.


• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during the second shift.


• Strong communication and teamwork skills.


• Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.


• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
