PURPOSE AND SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Skilled Maintenance to keep our facilities functional by assuming responsibility for repairs and cleaning.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs maintenance work using tools and skills needed for several or all the following trades: welding, machine shop sheet metal, carpenter, electrician, plumber, and auto repair
Performs necessary troubleshooting of maintenance problems and reports required solutions
Ensure equipment performs in a safe manner and complies with all the OSHA regulations
Repair and preventative maintenance of the facility such as roof repairs and/or equipment,
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor for issues
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Performs preventative maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems
Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness
Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventative and unscheduled maintenance
Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system
Performs maintenance work using tools and skills needed for sever or all (but not necessarily limited to) the following trades: welding, machine shop sheet metal, carpenter, electrician, plumber, and auto repair
Uses initiative and judgment in carrying out assignments, which may include design, construction, and installation of equipment, including building, electrical, HVAC, air system, plumbing, hydraulic
Install, repair, and maintain equipment and machinery
Perform PM on all equipment and machinery
Makes replacement parts when necessary
Use overhead cranes and mobile cranes
Assist all levels as needed
Performs work in all lower classifications
Works under minimum supervision
Able to train all lower-level classifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in Pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment. Must be able to read electrical schematics and has mechanical aptitude and plumbing skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and ability to perform complex electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs
Knowledge and ability to use small hand and power tools to make repairs or perform building maintenance as needed
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, automation, and environmental controls
Ability to use judgment in carrying out assignments
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and management
Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures
Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Flexible and able to prioritize
WORK SCHEDULE:
Swing Shift Position
Monday-Friday (2:00-10:30pm PT)
Weekend Shift Position
Friday-Sunday (6am-6:30pm PT)
Saturday-Monday (6am-6:30pm PT)
