Position Overview The Underwriter is responsible for managing multi-line accounts and conducting thorough policy reviews. This role requires a broad understanding of Commercial Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance and reinsurance, along with the ability to assess the financial implications of risks on the business. Key responsibilities include pricing new and renewal policies, coordinating policy services, and collaborating with external vendors and consultants. Additionally, the Underwriter partners closely with various internal teams, such as insurance services, agency services, program management, and marketing support, to ensure seamless delivery. This role focuses on underwriting Commercial Liability and Commercial Property policies for public and affordable housing accounts within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze account performance within the assigned territory.
Fulfill all reporting requirements accurately and on time.
Build and maintain strong relationships with members, agents, and brokers to enhance service quality and ensure client retention.

Job Requirements Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting.
Advanced knowledge of risk management principles.
Proficiency in interpreting contracts, credit reports, and related documentation.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
A proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, both now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
Agent's license.
Certificate in General Insurance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
