Description: Our client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor. This role involves leading and motivating the production team to exceed goals, monitoring daily production activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality, and directly supervising 20-30 hourly employees. The Production Supervisor will support our culture of engagement, empowerment, and continuous improvement.


There are two positions open. One on day shift and one on night shift. They are running 12 hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule from 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am. You will be supervising 30-40 hourly employees.



This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Assist in establishing and leading plant safety objectives.


• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.


• Maintain required internal certifications.


• Lead, counsel, train, and develop team members as appropriate.


• Initiate and deliver disciplinary actions for team members as needed.


• Conduct periodic performance reviews for team members.


• Participate in team member employment decisions, including hiring, promotions, and terminations.


• Track and manage attendance data for team members.


• Ensure individual and team compliance with applicable laws and company policies.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance, and process excellence by providing coaching and feedback to team members.


• Establish team and individual accountabilities for problem-solving and cost reduction.


• Perform 6S, safety, process, and quality audits, addressing any identified gaps.


• Accurately report asset quality, productivity, and other required metrics.


• Communicate changes in business situations, production schedules, and company policies positively.


• Monitor quality and recommend production stops based on material specifications, in conjunction with the Process Tech and Leadership teams.


• Attend downtime meetings, schedule meetings, safety meetings, asset meetings, safety reviews, and down-day planning meetings.


• Conduct and manage shift handover meetings, natural work team meetings, and other required team meetings.


• Complete all paperwork accurately, including production and downtime reports and incident reports.


• Assist operators and coordinate troubleshooting activities.


• Serve as a resource to Production Tech and Plant Leadership in resolving customer complaints.


• Fulfill tasks outlined in the daily task lists.


• Serve as a member of the emergency response team, with required training in Emergency Response, First Aid/CPR/BBP, and Fire Extinguisher use.


• Provide oversight and direction to the Warehouse Team.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A college degree is preferred. High school diploma/GED equivalency is required.


• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.


• JDE experience and prior non-woven experience are preferred.


• Six Sigma certification (black or green belt) is preferred.


• Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Ability to manage multiple functional areas and develop/execute plans for the plant. Must have excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and coordinate activities of different functional areas within the plant. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
