My client, a small and growing CPA firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to perform tax, payroll, and bookkeeping for small family businesses and HNW individuals. The firm will consider a full-time or part-time employee.
Responsibilities include (but not limited):
Payroll:
Process Payroll for new and existing clients with minimal supervision
Continue to organize and streamline the payroll process and update internal and external payroll policies as deemed necessary
Draft engagement letters
Set up new clients and coordinate forms that need to be signed
Assist with various projects in the office
Accounting:
Coordinate the gathering of monthly sales tax and bank statements from clients
Prepare and file Sales Tax
Prepare clients bookkeeping using QuickBooks desktop or QuickBooks online
Review accounting work reviewed by staff and coordinate missing information
Prepare 1099s and annual reports yearly
Follow work papers documentation and be able to complete and document work for easy review
Tax returns:
Meet with assigned clients and prepare tax returns
Prepare tax returns assigned for small businesses and HNW individuals
Prepare Monthly Accounting and Sales Tax
Assist with various projects in the office
Ideally 5 or more years of experience in public accounting, preferably with smaller firms
Payroll and sales tax experience
Tax return prep and review for small businesses and HNW individuals
Bookkeeping, financial statements, bank reconciliations, and QuickBooks
Strong communication skills- this position will have direct contact with clients.
