Position: HUDCompliance Specialist
Pay: $70,000 per year
Day-to-Day:
Collaborates with the RHMs and property sites on compliance requirements for HUD and tax credit communities.
Analyzes complex financing documents to develop compliance requirements for HUD, LIHTC and PSH properties.
Conducts periodic random audits for existing HUD communities of resident files and maintains database to track audit results.
Provides analysis, conclusions and recommendations based on audit results including development of specific action plans for non-compliant communities.
Assists with the hire and supervision of third-party compliance consultants as needed for new and existing HUD and LIHTC communities.
Works with Compliance Director to develop and implement Volunteers of America HUD Compliance Handbook of forms, policies, and procedures.
Develops working relationships with regulation agencies and city municipalities for funding compliance.
Assess and makes recommendations regarding training needs for HUD property staff.
Provides support/technical assistance as needed to HUD, tax credit and funding layered properties.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or other relevant field preferred or minimum of 5 years affordable housing experience with tax credit experience.
Valid Texas Driver License, clear MVR, and ability to be insured.
