About the role
The Systems Administrator will serve as the bridge between the company's core business functions and the systems that enable them. This dynamic role requires thorough knowledge of the company's end-to end processes, involves near constant coordination with all functional areas, includes team and individual leadership, and requires expert resource management and interpersonal communication skills. The Systems Administrator will drive business efficiency and innovation, lead a high-performing team, and oversee the integration, development, and optimization of systems to support the company"s strategic objectives. The role serves as the ultimate end-to-end owner of technology delivery for its supported business area and is responsible for quality, time and cost of delivery.
What you"ll do
Strategic Leadership:
Serve as the central point of coordination for business systems, ensuring alignment with the company"s goals and objectives.
Advise executive team and provide system training and mentorship to business leaders.
Monitor industry trends and ensure company appropriately considers and adopts best-practices with regards to business systems.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that support business needs and growth objectives.
Establish solid relationships with partners, suppliers, vendors in support of initiatives.
Ensure company systems strictly adhere to all compliance and security requirements.
Ensure systems are developed, implemented, and optimized in accordance with ISO9001 and all other standard-based certifications in place at the company.
Systems Management:
Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of business systems, from selection/development to testing/implementation to training/administration driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Monitor system performance, resolve issues proactively, ensure minimal business disruption.
Ensure business systems are optimized and continuously improved in accordance with documented requirements.
Ensure business systems team is trained, equipped, and focused on providing expert support to internal customers across the organization.
Resource Optimization & Team Leadership:
Efficiently allocate resources and manage budgets, maximizing the value of system investments.
Lead negotiations with suppliers and contractors; manage contracted resources.
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of business systems analysts and administrators, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Develop, maintain, and continuously refine job profiles, professional development plans, performance evaluation processes, and succession plans for all team members.
Ensure the business systems team (to include all contracted team members) conform to all company policies and adhere to all safety requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Support all functional areas with resources, training, project-support, documentation needs.
Lead cross-functional project teams and train resources to function as system project managers.
Develop KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and ROI of business systems initiatives.
Manage relationship and coordination with IT and all other system-related functions.
Qualifications
Advanced technical skills including experience with a variety of different software platforms.
Deep knowledge of CRM and ERP architectures, data structures, data migration, integration, and customization best practices.
Ability to balance technical knowledge with strategic thinking.
Exceptional resource management abilities and focus on driving efficiency and achieving results.
Expert project management skills and familiarity with multiple project management disciplines and execution methodologies (eg. Agile, Design-Build, etc).
Understanding and proficiency across wide expanse of business functions including manufacturing, production, supply chain, capital projects, inventory management, shipping/receiving, and financial analysis, accounting, and reporting.
Ability to teach, coach, and mentor junior resources.
Excellent time-management skills.
Ability to adapt approach/workflows to meet the needs of functional areas and leaders.
Critical thinking skills and ability to turn intent into tangible action/results.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting systems within a manufacturing environment.
NetSuite Experience.
Sales force experience.
ERP implementation Experience.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Systems Administrator.
Strong system knowledge preferably for a government contractor.
Experience managing complex selection processes and leading negotiations.
Proven experience as a team manager.
US Salary Range $130,000 - $150,000

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more.
