We are looking for a seasoned and accomplished Project Manager to lead and coordinate heavy civil infrastructure projects within the aviation sector. In this role, youll collaborate closely with the Program Manager to drive high-impact projects from conception to completion. Your expertise in managing project deliverables, stakeholder expectations, scope, and schedules will be essential to ensuring successful outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact while guiding complex projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This is a long term, full-time, onsite position located in the greater metro NYC area.
Responsibilities
Supports the Program Manager by providing strategic and operational assistance across all project phases.
Manages project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure alignment with overall program objectives and successful project delivery.
Facilitates communication and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and consistency on project details and deliverables.
Prepares and develops PowerPoint presentations to effectively support program updates and stakeholder engagement.
Tracks and coordinates project tasks and deliverables to ensure timely and successful completion.
Organizes and manages meeting logistics including scheduling, preparing handouts, and documenting key actions and decisions while following up on outstanding items to maintain project momentum.
Generates reports as needed to provide clear insights into project progress and performance.
Executes tasks assigned by the Program Manager with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring smooth project operations.
Maintains accurate and organized project records to support compliance, reporting, and future reference needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4+ years of experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil infrastructure, transit, aviation, or rail projects.
Strong analytical skills to identify errors, issues, or non-standard situations and propose effective solutions.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Eligibility to obtain SWAC and/or SIDA clearance.
Deep understanding of records management principles, with a proactive approach to implementation.
Proven leadership experience in coordinating project management teams, offering guidance, coaching, and strategic influence.
Proficiency in industry-standard project and construction management software, such as Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Project, Bluebeam, RSMeans, etc.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of proven experience in program management.
Track record of success in managing mega capital programs ($500M+ in construction costs) and/or highly complex projects.
Proficiency with e-Builder and SharePoint is a plus.
Experience working with NYC MTA, New York City, and New York State public agencies is highly desirable.
Aviation construction experience is a plus.
Current SWAC or SIDA clearance.
One or more of the following certifications preferred: Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Designated Design-Build Professional (DBIA), or Project Management Professional (PMP)
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $104k - $187k/yr ($50-$90/hr). The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
