The Accounts Receivable & Invoicing Specialist is responsible for monitoring and managing accounts and billing as well as following up with any customer or supplier with outstanding payments. The Accounts Receivable & Invoicing Specialist will help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Gather and verify data needed to initiate invoices in Workday
Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, and credits and collections are applied
Obtain primary financial data for accounting records at the request of the VP Accounting Operations and others as needed
Assist in monthly close process by ensuring all invoicing has been completed for the period. This includes maintenance and submission of a monthly A/R checklist
Work with customers to resolve billing differences, terms of payment, and any other discrepancies
Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements
Manage priorities and meet deadlines including the monthly close timeline
Work closely with leadership on accounts receivable aging, and payment disputes/issues
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Work collaboratively with employees across departments to ensure all invoices are entered and accounted for
Work closely with the accounting and finance department
Perform other related duties and ad-hoc queries
Required Skills/Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent
2-3 years of experience with collections, invoicing and/or accounts receivable
Experience with general accounting software usage
Proficient with Excel
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
College degree with focus in Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience with Workday
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
