Position Summary:

A "Benefits and Engagement Specialist" is responsible for managing and promoting employee benefits programs while actively engaging employees through various initiatives, ensuring they understand and utilize their benefits to the fullest while fostering a positive and motivated workforce; this includes tasks like explaining benefit options, organizing wellness events, coordinating recognition programs, and addressing benefit-related inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Educate employees on available benefits plans including medical, dental, vision, retirement, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and various other voluntary plans
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes throughout the year
  • Process benefit-related invoices and address administrative issues
  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to increase morale and a sense of belonging
  • Maintain and promote communication through our Company Intranet
  • Organize wellness initiatives like fitness challenges and other programs to promote a healthy lifestyle
  • Foster an engaged workplace with the Unity Committee where everyone works to realize our purpose and values
  • Build strong relationships at all levels of the organization, partnering with business leaders and employees
  • Diagnose root causes and create solutions that cultivate change, enrich our thriving culture, and assist employees in reaching their fullest potential.
  • Supports the communications and roll-out of People Operations initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience and building a high performing and inclusive culture
  • Receive data from People Operation Business Partners on exit interviews and provides analysis to Business Segment VPs and Chief People Officer.
  • Contribute to projects and process improvements as needed.
  • Partner with the People Operations and payroll teams along with other leadership to support company-wide initiatives for employees

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation skills
  • Growing understanding of employee group benefits
  • Strong analytical abilities; ethics and discretion
  • Comfortable presenting to diverse groups of people
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to adapt to new systems
  • The ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Benefits and Engagement Specialist or similar role
  • Working with a distributed workforce with multiple locations and/or in a remote environment a preferred
  • SHPR/PHR/CEBS/SHRM Certification preferred
  • ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
