Summary:
As a Proposal Writer at J.W. Bamford, Inc., you will be responsible for writing, editing, and managing proposals for bids, contracts, and funding opportunities in the forestry and heavy civil industries. This role involves conducting in-depth research, gathering critical information, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure proposals are clear, competitive, and compliant with industry and client requirements.
This position requires a detail-oriented, adaptable individual who can critically evaluate content, refine messaging, and envision project scope. Strong analytical skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a structured approach to writing are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and write compelling proposals for contracts, bids, and funding opportunities.
Conduct thorough research on bid opportunities, funding sources, and industry trends.
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and engineers to gather accurate details for proposals.
Ensure proposals are clear, persuasive, and aligned with client and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and track proposal deadlines while managing multiple projects.
Organize and update proposal files, ensuring proper documentation and version control.
Critically evaluate proposal content, identifying areas for improvement in clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness.
