Systems Engineer- Common Weapon Launcher (CWL)




Manassas, VA




Contract Position




Senior Systems Engineer, Common Weapon Launcher job in Manassas, Virginia is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense company. In this job you will be responsible for the system engineering and writing requirements for the system under development, addressing topics such as payload integration, weapon launch interlocks, weapon simulation, message exchanges, user interfaces, and cybersecurity. As a member of the system engineering team, you will help ensure functional and technical specifications and standards are complete and accurate, delivered as required to support customer review and approval, to support system development and test.



Responsibilities:

• Design and develop system engineering requirements for CWL, focusing on payload integration, weapon launch interlocks, weapon simulation, message exchanges, user interfaces, and cybersecurity.


• Ensure functional and technical specifications meet customer requirements and support system development and testing.


• Apply systems engineering principles to define system architecture, standards, and technical requirements.


• Utilize requirements management and system modeling tools to support design, development, and validation efforts.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity, embedded operating systems, and Linux-based architectures.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required


• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or STEM and 2+ years of experience or Master's degree


• Electrical Engineering experience at the system level


• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Agile experience preferred
