The Copywriter is accountable for product storytelling leadership and hands-on development of strategic omni-channel communications, copy and content that helps consumers choose and use USB products.
In this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team to craft a variety of creative assets for New Product launch toolkits and Marketing campaigns to drive sales of United Sports Brands (USB) products and build the brands. Projects cover a range of consumer touchpoints and may include but are not limited to launch ideas/thematics, product and feature naming, website landing pages, PDP pages, A+ content, banner ads, CRM emails, in-store POP, pre- and post-purchase videos, social media, retailer sell-in support, content books, FAQ and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work as a part of a cross-functional creative team to concept and execute global product launch and US marketing campaigns across a wide range of media and platforms with focus on Weber-owned digital, social, video and in-store experiences.
Apply deep understanding of product features and benefits, passion for the consumer and insight into the shopping journey to create compelling communications and marketing ideas that drive preference and purchase of USB products.
Drive product storytelling across a range of media - crafting engaging, impactful, copy appropriately styled for each medium to ensure consistency of message throughout the consumer shopping journey.
Collaborate with product teams to edit and develop product claims and selling points and generate product and feature names that resonate with consumers.
Partner with designers and art directors throughout the creative development process to ensure seamless integration of verbal and visual communication, with attention to message hierarchy, emphasis, and story flow.
Package and present creative solutions for internal meetings in partnership with designer (such as layouts with copy in place, social posts, video scripts) in well-organized decks supported with thoughtful rationale.

Consult with internal legal team as necessary for usage and trademark clearance of naming and claims.
Synthesize feedback from multiple stakeholders including Product, Sales and Marketing Leads; Digital Strategists; Creative Director and others, rethinking creative approach as needed and providing fresh solutions to challenges.
Adhere to timelines and expectations for interim and final creative deliverables as established by Project Manager and Creative Director. Utilize project management system consistently for timely sharing of work and team communication.
Communicate with Project Manager and Creative Director on a timely and consistent basis and engage in relevant status meetings to prioritize and manage timelines and deliverables.
Contribute to the culture of the in-house creative team, promoting a spirit of positivity and teamwork.
Demonstrate drive for continuous learning and growth, engaging in the latest digital technologies and platforms, social media best practices, retail innovation, lifestyle trends to raise the level of creative work and build the USB brands.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ Years related experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field
Strong editorial, proofreading, and writing skills
Familiarity with keyword research
Experience with SEO copywriting best practices
Experience with social media and content marketing
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
Passion for writing with an excellent portfolio of work
POSITION SPECIFICS:
This is a full-time position
Typical work hours and days are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This position is based out of the Fountain Valley, CA office
This position is not expected to travel.
This position requires in-office attendance at least 4 day(s) per week (subject to increase in the future).
PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The Company is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The salary range for this role in Fountain Valley, CA is $75,000 - $90,000.
In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including health & wellness benefits, retirement, time off, employee discounts, and others.
