ITT Enidine is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their supply chain team in Orchard Park, NY. The Supplier Quality Engineer will participate and lead MRB activities, manage supplier performance, perform source inspections & audits, and manage NPI verification activites. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree with 2+ years of supplier quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Primary focus will entail participating and/or leading Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including investigating supplier NCRs, notifying supplier & managing each occurrence through the corrective action phase; Coordinate supplier notification & “return to vendor” activities
Review supplier requests for deviation & direct review other core functions
Manage ASL for assigned suppliers, performing on-site assessments & audits as required per QMS & AS9100 requirements
Support the onboarding, developing, cost recovery & performance improvement initiatives as directed by Supply Chain Management
Support Supply Chain in facilitating the flow-down of customer specific requirements to suppliers
Knowledge of change management processes & strategies
Must be able & willing to travel regionally to support Supplier Quality related visits
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years of experience within a Supplier Quality related field
Experience with AS9100 or IATF16949; Lead or internal auditor certification/training
Technical experience, qualifications, certifications, training & skills a plus.
Metallurgy, industrial chemistry, processing knowledge, metrology, GD&T, machining, Elastomeric & ITT Enidine related products
Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) – PPAP: Control Plans, PFMEA, GR&R, MSA; Risk Assessment & risk-mitigation tools
Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing methodology, including certifications or project experience
Driven individual with great communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others, work in a fast-paced environment & foster supplier partnerships
