The Patient Insights and Behavioral Sciences (PIBS) team is part of the Patient-Informed Development and Health Value Translation (PID & HVT) department within R&D at Sanofi. The overarching goal of PID & HVT is to embed the patient into research and development. To support that goal, the PIBS team is responsible for:
Researching the patient population impacted by the diseases/conditions Sanofi is studying and providing an overview of their demographics, risk factors, comorbidities, cytogenetics, outcomes, and unmet needs
Gathering data to support and setting the goals for recruitment of patients from historically underrepresented subgroups within the United States to ensure diversity and inclusion within Sanofi's clinical trials
Identifying challenges for recruitment and retention that apply to patient subgroups and using behavioral science principles to develop tools and strategies to help offset those challenges

Main Responsibilities:
Conducting primary literature reviews on topics assigned
Preparing presentation materials that summarize research findings
Presenting preliminary research results to PIBs team members for feedback
Revising presentation materials as directed
Presenting final research results to wider audiences as needed
Assisting in the development of behavioral science tools
Consulting with Sanofi colleagues on how to improve and globalize existing behavioral science tools

About You
Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an associate's degree or higher in health sciences or other STEM related field with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by Spring 2027
Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi.
Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs./week for the duration of the internship
Must have permanent US work authorization
Preferred Qualifications:
Soft skills: Collaborative and willing to listen and learn. Able to present. Able to accept and act upon constructive criticism. Patient focused.
Technical skills: Knowledge of current word processing and presentation development tools (for example, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint or Google Docs and Slides). Basic online research skills.
Languages: Proficient in English

Sanofi's Bridgewater, NJ office is scheduled to relocate to Morristown, NJ on or around March 24, 2025 and this role will then be based in Morristown, NJ.
