ISS Market Intelligence (MI), a division of ISS, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a strong foundation in financial services sales while gaining hands-on experience in business development, relationship management, and industry insights.

As a Business Development Representative, you will engage with senior executives at leading financial institutions—including Heads of Distribution, Strategy, Product, and Business Intelligence—to introduce ISS MI's suite of market intelligence solutions. Working closely with an experienced sales team, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the overall growth strategy in North America.

This position is ideal for a proactive and ambitious individual eager to develop expertise in asset management, financial market trends, and data-driven insights. Success in this role will provide a strong foundation for career advancement into sales or account management within ISS MI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn and master MI products and advanced selling and marketing technologies to identify and generate potential sales opportunities for the MI Account Executive team.
  • Target, research and assist the sales team to create new leads across all verticals (Distribution, Product, Strategy, Operation and Business Intelligence)) for ISS MI product suite of services.
  • Prospect within the North American territory to identify and generate new leads for Sales Representatives.
  • Be responsible for assisting the sales team developing and growing a geographical sales territory through cold calling, prospecting, and lead generation.
  • Communicate when appropriate any client/prospect outreach with the sales team & competitive intelligence on new product opportunities to marketing and product management
  • Manage email campaigns through HubSpot

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have strong desire to learn our financial research business and to grow into a professional sales executive
  • Must be able to utilize lead generating software and learn new technologies quickly. Experience using Salesforce is plus.
  • Any previous sales or business development training is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years’ work experience and/or internships
  • Experience selling within the Financial Services industry a definite plus but not necessary
  • Must be highly organized, goal oriented and able to think independently
  • Excellent presentation and inter-personal relationship skills
  • A team player with emotional maturity
  • Excellent soft and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be reasonably proficient at excel, word and power point
