Fast-paced manufacturer is seeking a Process/Project Engineer to work on process and project engineering tasks in their high-volume, process-oriented manufacturing plant. You will report to the Engineering Manager, who has been with the company for nine years. Daily, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Overseeing manufacturing processes and making improvements
Troubleshooting equipment and processes in an assigned manufacturing area
Developing and improving line layouts and making line modifications
Overseeing timelines and budgets for up to 2-4 projects at a time related to continuous improvement, capital equipment, facilities, etc.
Monitoring production metrics and KPIs
Partnering with operations and quality engineers to determine RCA and resolve quality and operational issues
Working closely with hourly and salary staff to achieve and improve production and engineering goals
Completing mechanical troubleshooting and assisting the maintenance team as needed
Developing PM programs for new equipment and communicating with OEM on any issues
Determining process capacity for new manufacturing processes
Conducting project proposals and completing cost justifications
Read technical drawings and make modifications in AutoCAD as needed
Participating in Kaizen, Lean and continuous improvement events throughout the plant
Other duties as directed by management

Individuals should enjoy spending 30-50% of their time on the manufacturing floor. This is a high-profile position that will partner daily with maintenance, production and quality. REQUIREMENTS for the Process/Project Engineer:
1. Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of engineering experience in a similar manufacturing environment
3. Experience working in related process-oriented manufacturing environments, including packaging, chemical, coating, refinery, food and/or beverage industries
4. Experience overseeing process engineering functions, including scrap reductions, efficiency improvements, line layouts, etc.
5. Experience overseeing project engineering functions, including equipment or facilities
6. Mechanical troubleshooting capabilities
7. Basic project management, including overseeing project timelines
8. The ability to update AutoCAD drawings
9. A general understanding of P&ID drawings
10. Experience completing CI functions, including scrap reductions, improving line efficiencies, etc.
11. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. PLCs, robotics and/or automation experience
2. ERP experience
3. Budget oversight of projects
4. Lean Certification
5. Experience working in 24/7/365 environments
