The Quality Manager will lead the development and implementation of quality systems, ensuring exceptional product standards, compliance, and continuous improvement to drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence at our Milcut Location; They will lead in the planning, development, implementation, communication and improvement of the Quality Management Systems, Company Policies, documentation, and customer requirements, in accordance with internal standards and ISO 9001.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads quality related problem solving and root cause analysis in Manufacturing (Scrap management and Customer Complaint resolutions)
Aims to minimize the cost of product waste by standardizing processes and acceptance criteria.
Ensures Customer PPAP, First Articles, and Product Certifications are prioritized and submitted in a timely manner.
Assist with product changes and deviation requests.
Leads the internal Audits process.
Owns and reports performance on Quality KPI's during quarterly "Plant Quality Board" meeting and yearly Management Reviews.
Responsible for coordination of ISO 9001 Audit Certifications and surveillance audits.
Provides training on Quality Awareness and ISO 9001 certification requirements.
Drives Customer Complaint tracking to closure.
Participates in cross-functional teams to address process changes, process improvements.
Reports key supplier Quality issues and works with purchasing to improve supplier performance.
Excellent verbal and writing skills (speaking, typing, presenting)
Represent Milcut in 3rd. party audits.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or associates. Ability to effectively present information to top management, Customers, Suppliers and/or manufacturing Staff.
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office; Word & Excel)
Effective leadership of the Quality organization at Milcut location.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science or a related field
ASQ certified Quality Manager or engineer
5+ years' relevant work experience
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Knowledge of core tools PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), SPC (Statistical Process Control), APQP (Product Quality Planning and Control Plan), MSA (Measuring System Analysis), FMEA (Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to motivate, lead, train and adapt to new situations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
