Job Summary: The Guest Services Representatives will operate the front registration desk and assist guests with inquiries and other needs during registration, throughout their stay, and at checkout.
Duties/Responsibilities: • Efficiently manage the operations of the front desk, showing compassion and empathy for what guests may be experiencing due to a medical emergency • Ensure absolute accuracy regarding guest information and check in and checkout activity. • Warmly and professionally welcomes all guests. • Contributes to the teamwork that supports guest assistance including answering questions and special requests regarding food, laundry, transportation, housekeeping, medical and hospital information, comfort, and other support services. • Treat requests with professionalism, tact, and a courteous manner. • Ensure guests understand our donation-based mission. • Ensure the lobby and shared areas are neat and orderly. • Ensure the kitchen coffee & water stations are always fully supplied and guest dining area is in pristine condition • Maintain knowledge of Beacon House policies including No Smoking/Drugs/Alcohol, guest kitchen amenities, special support services, and community events. • Maintains knowledge of upcoming events, local area, and Beacon House offerings. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including answering telephone in a professional manner • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills including dealing with difficult and distraught patrons. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Familiarity with local area with the ability to provide directions and maps to local attractions and destinations. • Proficient with computer use Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalency required. • Hospitality experience considered a great asset. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of standing at front desk and sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Ability to provide guest tours throughout the house showcasing kitchen and dining, lounges, chapel and guest rooms. • Periodic sweeping, vacuuming and tidying up tables and chairs, emptying dishwashers and removing kitchen garbage bags.
