Shift: Flexible; includes scheduled shifts, on-call rotation, and some nights/weekends
Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 per hour (based on experience, plus additional compensation for call and shift differentials)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist - CVOR to join our high-performing cardiovascular surgical team. This role is critical to the safe and efficient execution of advanced cardiac procedures, including open-heart surgery, valve replacement, and minimally invasive cardiac interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
Surgical Preparation & Setup: Prepare and maintain sterile fields, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and functional for cardiovascular procedures.
CVOR Case Support: Assist in CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, aortic repairs, ECMO, and other high-complexity cardiac cases.
Instrument Handling: Anticipate surgeon needs, efficiently pass instruments, and adhere to strict sterile technique.
Specimen Management: Handle and process surgical specimens per hospital protocols.
Equipment & Inventory Management: Ensure instruments and supplies are properly maintained, accounted for, and available for procedures.
Patient Care Support: Assist in positioning, draping, and transporting patients to optimize surgical safety and efficiency.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of cardiac surgeons, first assists, perfusionists, nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure seamless procedures and optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED or completion of military training as a Surgical Technologist.
Certification:Must hold Colorado registration as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist, or be willing to obtain one upon hire.
Experience:At least 1 year of experience in a CVOR setting is preferred.
Candidates with strong general OR experience may be considered if committed to CVOR training.
BLS Certification: Must have a valid American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS certification at the time of hire.
Schedule & Call Requirements:
Flex shifts available, including days, evenings, and weekends.
On-call participation is required and includes rotations for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Call response time requirement: Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call.
