This position is located at the company's office at 2900 Cowan Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21223, and requires physical attendance at the company's office each day.
Summary: A Staff Accountant will work with the accounting team on a variety of transactional and analytical activities. The work requires the ability to learn new systems quickly and an ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interact with other departments in the company on a daily basis with best practices, processes and procedures for the optimal financial and operating performance of the company.
Learn, understand and use our ERP systems daily to complete tasks and interact with other team members.
Post accounts payable daily and prepare accounts payable for payments weekly.
Process recurring transactions and auto pay payments as scheduled.
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
Pitch in wherever needed to help keep this team the best team!
Work with other staff and CFO on projects as needed, required, or requested.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
1 - 3 years of staff accounting experience.
Work history must demonstrate the ability to work and interact with a diverse group of stakeholders to accomplish tasks.
Demonstrated knowledge of NetSuite (or similar ERP system) is highly desirable.
Demonstrated accounting skills and understanding of GL coding.
Demonstrated Excel/spreadsheet knowledge experience, including importing and exporting data, formatting reports, pivot tables, tables, and functions.
Must be detail oriented, with the ability to detail with time-sensitive projects
Must demonstrate ability to work well with others, in a collaborative, consensus-oriented workplace.
Strong problem solving skills
Must be effective with time management
Must maintain the confidentially of sensitive information
Must have excellent work habits and a professional demeanor
Physical Requirements:
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing and general office activities are required.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
