SourceFactor's client is an MEP Design Engineering firm focused on existing commercial buildings - not new construction. They have a really interesting mix of energy efficiency and design projects, working with some of the largest building owners to bring their existing portfolios up to modern efficiency standards. They do this by thoroughly investigating and auditing the current environment, then identifying areas for improvement, including the design of new HVAC systems for large commercial facilities and related commissioning / RCx.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical engineer with 5 or more years of MEP design experience, who likes investigating and improving already existing infrastructure. For that reason, it won't be a fit for candidates who only work on new construction.
Experience Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering
Must have EIT, prefer PE
At least 5 years of experience in the design and engineering of commercial HVAC systems
Experience using design tools like AutoCAD or Revit
Experience with tools like Carrier HAP or Trane Trace and related modeling experience
Client facing experience and excellent communication skills, as you'll be working directly with client teams in a face-to-face environment
This role is hybrid, with candidates needing to be able to commute to their Baltimore area offices.
