SYR is working with one of yachting's most renowned and prestigious names on a project to secure a new yacht manager for the Palm Beach office.
The client is truly international with a superb fleet under management, a burgeoning sales & purchase department and an industry-leading retail charter operation. Due to growth in the US managed fleet, the client is now looking to grow head-count in the Florida office and are actively seeking an experienced yacht manager to join the team.

Role Responsibilities -
*Own the business relationship between the company and the owner, or owner representative, assessing the owners requirements and delivering the best service accordingly
*Working with the Captains to deliver safe and reliable yacht operations in accordance with guidelines and company standards
*Be the principle point of contact for yachts under management from industry colleagues; charter managers and brokers etc
*Facilitate arrangements with corporate service providers, fiscal agents and insurers
*Monitor and influence the financial performance of each yacht under management
*Prepare monthly reports on the fleet performance for distribution amongst client network
Corporate Responsibilities -
*Participate in the emergency response team; expected to be 24/7 call out for one month per year
*Participate in the strategic development of the company yacht management programme, representing the company at industry events and shows
*Identify new business opportunities, working alongside the team BD
Essential Experience -
*Satisfactory demonstration of proficiency in Large Yacht Management; or
*Satisfactory completion of the Company's 'Yacht Manager under training programme'.
Experience & Abilities -
*Skilled communicator - verbal and written, able to communicate with people at all levels in a wide range of professional and social situations, tactful and diplomatic.
*Proficient with the use of business IT systems, computer and cloud based apps.
*Competent at problem solving.
*Willing to work as a member of a team.
*Effective manager - Maximising use of own time and supervising the work of a nominated Yacht Management Assistants.
*Fluent in spoken and written English is essential. Fluency in other languages desirable.
*Eligible to live and work in the US.
*Resident within daily commuting distance of the nominated office.
*Able to travel worldwide at immediate notice
Package -
Salary band for this role is €120/130,000 DOE
