We are a dynamic and growing company looking for a motivated, tech-savvy, and collaborative Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with the company president while performing a variety of bookkeeping tasks, providing office support, and occasionally assisting with social media efforts. Key Responsibilities:
Full Charge Bookkeeping:
Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end closings.
Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain financial records and prepare financial reports.
Ensure all financial transactions comply with GAAP and are accurately recorded.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Accruals & GAAP Compliance:
Ensure that accruals are properly accounted for and financial records adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Excel Expertise:
Utilize Excel for advanced functions such as v-lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis to assist with reporting and reconciliations.
General Office Support:
Provide administrative support as needed, including handling phone calls, scheduling, and assisting with miscellaneous office tasks.
Social Media Support (Sporadically):
Assist with managing the company's social media presence on occasion, including posting updates and engaging with followers.
Collaboration with the Company President:
Work closely with the company president to streamline office processes and manage financial and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (advanced skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
Solid knowledge of accrual accounting and GAAP principles.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Must be trustworthy, detail-oriented, and reliable.
A self-starter who is tech-savvy and motivated to take initiative.
Experience in the travel industry is a plus.
