Job Description:

We are a dynamic and growing company looking for a motivated, tech-savvy, and collaborative Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with the company president while performing a variety of bookkeeping tasks, providing office support, and occasionally assisting with social media efforts. If you're a dependable and organized individual with experience in QuickBooks Online, GAAP accounting, and Excel, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Full Charge Bookkeeping:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end closings.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain financial records and prepare financial reports.
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with GAAP and are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Accruals & GAAP Compliance:
  • Ensure that accruals are properly accounted for and financial records adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Excel Expertise:
  • Utilize Excel for advanced functions such as v-lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis to assist with reporting and reconciliations.

General Office Support:
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including handling phone calls, scheduling, and assisting with miscellaneous office tasks.

Social Media Support (Sporadically):
  • Assist with managing the company's social media presence on occasion, including posting updates and engaging with followers.

Collaboration with the Company President:
  • Work closely with the company president to streamline office processes and manage financial and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (advanced skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of accrual accounting and GAAP principles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be trustworthy, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • A self-starter who is tech-savvy and motivated to take initiative.
  • Experience in the travel industry is a plus.
