Tax Senior Position Overview The Tax Senior will play a critical role in our tax department, managing tax compliance and consulting projects for a variety of clients. This position requires a thorough understanding of tax regulations to provide accurate and effective tax strategies, ensuring compliance and maximizing tax efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses
Research and analyze tax issues, providing guidance on tax implications of various transactions
Assist clients with tax planning and compliance strategies
Manage multiple client engagements while ensuring deadlines are met
Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information for tax filings
Train and mentor junior staff members on tax procedures and regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
CPA certification is a plus
Experience with 1040 tax returns is advantageous
