Salary: $60,000.00 USD Annually - $80,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Quality assurance supervisor for their facility in rural Mississippi. About the Role: Seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead and enhance our QA processes. In this vital role, you will ensure that our products meet or exceed all regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and customer expectations. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with production, management, and regulatory teams to maintain the highest standards in food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily quality assurance operations, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., USDA, FDA).
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control protocols and food safety programs, including HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs.
- Conduct routine product and process inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Train and manage quality assurance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain accurate QA documentation and reports for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum3years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in meat processing or food manufacturing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, FSMA).
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
