The Noble lab, focusing on improving outcomes for newborns exposed to infection during pregnancy, is seeking a Research Technician to support a highly collaborative laboratory performing a wide range of animal (mouse) research projects through care and data collection.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Technician to join our team. This position requires working in a shared laboratory environment, performing experiments, maintaining a clean workspace, and conducting animal research with a focus on mouse models.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Conducts mouse colony care and infection model experiments.
Ensures compliance with ethical standards and animal care protocols.
Performs hands-on laboratory experiments, with opportunities to learn and implement new techniques.
Performs limited data analysis and interpretation.
Presents research findings and updates during lab meetings.
Manages laboratory supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
General Responsibilities
Performs a wide variety of complex experiments and reports results.
Organizes analytical data of performed experiments. May submit findings for publication.
Installs and maintains research equipment.
Acts as a liaison to students and laboratory personnel for training.
Maintains laboratory supply requisition and management.
Trains junior-level staff.
Plans experiments and short-term goals.
May require travel in order to service various research sites.
Qualifications
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in science or related field

Working Conditions / Demands
The role regularly requires the ability to effectively communicate. The role frequently requires the ability to move about the work environment and to position oneself to operate laboratory equipment effectively. The role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Must be up to date on all immunizations and will be required to complete a pre-employment health screening.

Advertised Salary
$43,000 - $48,000 per year based on a combination of experience, skill level, education, and training.
