As a Material Planner you would be responsible for the daily management of the backlog to ensure schedule attainment to meet customer due dates and proactively provide timely feedback to customer service, all while earning a competitive base salary and full benefit offerings for a well-rounded total package for the right individual. This position reports to the site Materials Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactive, timely feedback to Customer Service
Daily management of backlog
Planning parameter maintenance in ERP system
Monitor schedule attainment and adherence metrics, and check & adjust process on customer due dates
Monitor material transactions and maintain the accuracy of production and inventory records in JDE
Practice goal-directed thinking and action in situations for which no routine solutions exist
Demonstrate close understanding and practical knowledge of the company's manufacturing processes and equipment capabilities
Develop materials storage and delivery processes supportive of manufacturing operations
Required Experience and/or Education:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Work effectively in a team. Knowing role on team, based on project/task
Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve goals through influence
Demonstrated analytical mindset
Have ability to follow and challenge Standard Work processes on a daily basis
Ability to adapt to system/technology changes as well as use of current systems
Familiar with the basic tool set used for PFEP
Strong organizational skills
Ability identify road blocks in material/information flow and manage exceptions
Demonstrated Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
Ability to blend multiple sources of data to formulate opinions and recommendations
2+ years S/C experience
Must have ability to relocate for future assignments
S/C experience in union and/or manufacturing environment
Experience with global vendors
Exposure to Lean and/or manufacturing environment
Experience with Enterprise-sourcing purchasing systems (ERP)
2 years' Experience in making materials flow
Exposure to logistics, warehousing systems
Master's Degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or engineering
Professional certification - APICS or CSCMP (Ex - CPIM, Logistics cert)
PMP
Bachelors' Degree, business, supply chain, logistics, or engineering

Salary range $55,929 to $78,417 paid bi-monthly
