Position Overview:
The Boeing Company is actively seeking candidates to join the Space launch System (SLS) engineering team in support of NASA's Artemis program. We are looking for a wide range of candidates with a passion for Human Space Flight and want to be a part of these historic times of returning humans back to the moon and beyond!
Position Responsibilities:
Support the SLS Core Stage Integrated Design team (Primary structure, Secondary structure, Fairings, Umbilical Panels, etc.)
Develop and release engineering that meets programmatic metrics for on-time releases (OTR) and first-time quality (FTQ)
Support production operations in New Orleans and Launch activities at KSC
Support design reviews, analyses and component testing to ensure delivery of products meet or exceed customer requirements
Support troubleshooting of delivered products, production mishaps and In-Flight anomalies
Participate in verification closure and design certification
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facilities.
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
Experience developing and releasing aerospace structural/mechanical datasets (drawings)
Advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly
Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems.
The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design and production
Experience working on NASA Human Space Flight development programs
Hardware experience is providing engineering rationale for production non-conformances
Working knowledge of ProE (CREO) and data management systems

Summary pay range; $113,050 - $152,950
