Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a pivotal role in the conceptualization and development of new technologies and products for vehicular displays and controls. This position provides expertise in the implementation of emerging technologies and is responsible for designing the display, power, and control hardware for new product development.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Innovate new technologies and methodologies in advanced display and controls.
  • Develop high-level product architectures, embedded processor system topologies, and analog/digital controls infrastructure.
  • Provide technical expertise in designing display, power supplies, processors, interface circuits, and controls at the circuit level.
  • Participate with project teams throughout the development cycle in the design, documentation, and release of new products.
  • Provide technical leadership to coordinate the work of other engineers/designers in associated disciplines: mechanical packaging, thermal design, PWB design, digital hardware, and firmware design.
  • Oversee fabrication, troubleshooting, and verification testing of prototypes throughout the development cycle.
  • Generate test plans, procedures, and summary reports for product validation testing, including compliance with regulatory agency/industry standards.
  • Develop product requirements and perform electronic hardware design based on customer specifications and industry regulations.
  • Create required engineering documentation to support new product development, including schematics, specifications, drawings, bills of materials, FMEA, test plans, and reports.
  • Conduct verification and validation testing on new and existing designs, working with both internal and external resources to complete testing.
  • Identify new technologies and design solutions to ensure our displays and controls are best in class in terms of cost, quality, and performance.
  • Develop concept designs and provide product costs to support customer requests for quotations.
  • Provide design/validation solutions for component obsolescence.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in designing display, processor, and analog/digital conversion products.
  • Proficiency in designing high-accuracy and stable analog circuits using analytical methodologies.
  • Competency in high-frequency design techniques for signal integrity, PWB layout, system interface, and EMI control.
  • Proficiency in using software tools (Simulink, PSpice, Mathcad, Excel) for power and control circuit design, including schematic capture, modeling, simulation, mathematical analysis, and data manipulation.
  • Experience designing electronic assemblies, including component packaging, environmental constraints, and design for manufacturability, testability, and serviceability.
  • Experience in digital hardware design for displays and power control, including ADC/DAC signal conversion, microcontrollers, and high-speed digital communications (CAN, Ethernet, etc.).
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for domestic and international electrical and environmental standards.

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $130,000
