Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Sr. Ruby on Rails Developer


Position type: Contract

Duration: 12 months with likely extensions

Location: REMOTE


Sr. Ruby on Rails Developer

ROLE OVERVIEW:


We are looking for a software engineer to assist in the development of technical projects that result in innovative solutions.? The individual will work collaboratively with QA, Product, and the Design team to build integrated solutions with other technology platforms as well as our own platform. This person builds with analytics and scalability in a dev-ops centric culture.?

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work independently to develop high-quality, user-facing features utilizing ReactJS

  • Work independently to develop high-quality, backend microservices utilizing Node

  • Mentor and support junior engineers through collaborative processes like code reviews and pair programming.

  • Develop using best practices, coding standards, and documentation, and take the opportunity to share knowledge across the team??

  • Specify technical solutions in clear and concise written documentation??

  • Design and develop new custom components to meet project requirements??

  • Translate product requirements and technical designs into well-engineered, low-defect, robust code?

  • Regularly collaborate with other developers, QA, product owners, and designers to complete projects??

  • Participate and engage in all Scrum Ceremonies

  • Participate in regular code reviews, leading them when the Lead engineer is absent

  • Write automated tests, including comprehensive unit and integration tests??

  • Collaborate and mentor team members on key architecture decisions

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 8+ years of experience with JavaScript and Ruby on Rails - Ruby 3.0, Rails 6.1

  • 1+ years of experience with Cypress/Jest or other testing library/framework

  • Experience with Cloud Computing is preferred (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)

  • Experience with React workflows via Redux/Flux

  • Experience working in an Agile environment following SDLC,

  • Deep understanding of APIs and best practices.

  • Experience leveraging external API for deep integration.

  • Must be user-driven, objective, and goal oriented.

  • Effectively gather, communicate and understand project requirements.

  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to work cross functionally.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States

  • Experience troubleshooting and proposing solutions within a challenging, legacy codebase

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $80 -$85/hr w2


*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
