Job Description:

Bingman Construction Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Preconstruction Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to project commencement. Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, this role will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all necessary preconstruction tasks are efficiently handled. The ideal candidate will assist in the planning, coordination, coaching, and execution of all preconstruction activities for our construction projects.

Preconstruction Manager Responsibilities:
  • Prepare conceptual estimates, including detailed clarifications, schedules, etc.
  • Prepare and update preconstruction schedule, as well as preliminary high level construction schedule. Provide strategy for logistics, procurement, etc.
  • Actively participate in sales presentations and Owner meetings as required.
  • Assist on buyout and subcontractor interviews as necessary in conjunction with the project teams
  • Ensure compliance with project budgets and provide analysis of deviations. Drive creative solutions for budget challenges
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Subcontractors, Owners, Architects and Engineers
  • Provide regular reports on preconstruction progress, risks, and budget forecasts to senior management
  • Proactively address challenges and offer solutions to ensure project success
  • Identify potential risks during the preconstruction phase, including budget, design, and timeline issues, and develop strategies to mitigate those risks

Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or related experience (minimum 5 years of experience)
  • Exceptional communication and excellent listening skills
  • Experience with multiple project types and sizes.
  • Professional demeanor with a focus on detail
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Recognize problems. Provide and implement solutions
  • Experience with multiple project types and sizes
  • Understanding of unit costs for various project types ($/sf, $/key, $/car, etc.)
  • Well versed in all systems and pricing (MEP, structural, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in estimating standards and software
  • Ability to see the big picture, diving into the details as necessary
  • Ability to multi-task on a large variety of construction projects

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000
