As the Senior Director of Product Delivery Operations, you'll play a pivotal role driving delivery excellence in growing our product and service delivery operating models which are ways to deliver technology in our Digital, Analytics and Technology (DAT) organization. You'll be responsible for driving efficiencies in both models, optimizing delivery management tools, enabling strategic decision-making through analytics, and encouraging continuous learning and development. You'll oversee cross-functional efforts to implement best practices, streamline operations and deliver on strategic initiatives. This role will require close collaboration with product managers, program managers, experience design, engineering, portfolio and planning, and senior leadership to enhance delivery execution.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. What you'll do
Lead efforts to grow delivery models, including defining roles, responsibilities and job familiesOversee the implementation and management of key delivery tools (e.g., Jira) to ensure they support the needs of delivery teams and drive productivityEnsure that all DAT teams involved are equipped with the knowledge and tools to drive successful outcomesLead the development of best practices and operational standardsPartner with portfolio and program management teams to integrate product planning and portfolio management processesEnsure alignment on strategic goals and successful execution of key initiatives
Basic qualifications
12 years product management and/or delivery operations experience.3 years of experience building and leading a delivery operations function or directly assisting a delivery operations leader at a technology-driven retail organization8 years of direct people leadership experience in product management, delivery operations or related leadership roles3 years experience managing product management tools (e.g., Jira) and leveraging analytics to inform decision-makingExperience driving delivery model maturity at scaleStrong understanding of product cost transparency, funding models and other financial aspects of delivery operations
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing or related fieldAbility to build a learning culture that empowers the entire product team and stakeholdersStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executivesProblem-solving and strategic thinking skills with a data-driven approach
