ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The Network Technician is a member of the Network Services team, responsible for maintaining the college's network infrastructure. The role involves managing the Lenel OnGuard Access Control System, the Help Alert Panic Alarm System. This includes managing and maintaining the access control and alarm monitoring systems, troubleshooting network issues, and providing support to users. The technician ensures the reliability and security of network services, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the college environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:High-School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Associate's degree in a computer-related field. EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 1 year of experience in network support.Experience with Lenel OnGuard system and Help Alert systems is highly desirable. KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of access control systems and alarm monitoring systems.Familiarity with network infrastructure and database management. SKILLS: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to document procedures.Proficient in managing multiple tasks and responding to emergency situations effectively.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversees the operation and maintenance of the Lenel OnGuard Access Control System and the Help Alert Panic Alarm System.2. Perform routine checks and maintenance to ensure system functionality and security.3. Respond to and troubleshoot access control and alarm system issues, providing timely resolutions.4. Assist in the documentation and mapping of network infrastructure.5. Provide technical support to network users.6. Collaborate with Network Services to implement network projects and upgrades.Other duties as assigned by Manager of Network Services.
