Job Description:

Summary:

The Brand Communications Manager is a vital member of the Brand & Experience team, responsible for developing and executing a content strategy that supports brand objectives and engages target audiences. This role requires a skilled writer and storyteller with a deep understanding of content marketing principles and a passion for creating compelling narratives. As the content lead, the Brand Communications Manager will work closely with other team members to create a variety of brand-focused content across multiple channels, including website copy, social media, blog articles, marketing collateral, and event-related materials.

Essential Job Duties:



  • Content Strategy Development: Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with brand objectives and target audience needs. Identify content gaps, opportunities, and create a content calendar to ensure consistent publishing.

  • Content Creation: Write and edit high-quality, engaging content across various formats, including website copy, blog articles, social media posts, email newsletters, marketing brochures, and event-related materials. Adapt writing style to different platforms and audiences.

  • Brand Voice & Messaging: Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all content pieces. Ensure that all content adheres to brand guidelines and style guides.

  • SEO Optimization: Optimize content for search engines to improve organic visibility and drive traffic to relevant platforms. Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices.

  • Content Distribution & Promotion: Develop and execute content distribution plans to maximize reach and engagement. Promote content through social media, email marketing, and other channels.

  • Content Calendar Management: Manage the content calendar, ensuring that content is created and published on schedule. Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely delivery of assets.

  • Performance Measurement & Analysis: Track key content performance metrics, such as website traffic, social media engagement, and lead generation. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize content strategy.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with other team members, including graphic designers, event planners, and marketing specialists, to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated campaigns.

  • Content Research & Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, content marketing best practices, and competitor activities. Conduct research to identify content opportunities and inform content strategy

Reporting Relationships:


  • Reports directly to the Director, Brand & Experience
  • Cross-functional engagement to support organizational initiatives that require a "brand voice"
  • Contact with suppliers, customers, co-workers and executive management

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, content creation or related field

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong command of grammar and style.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing principles, SEO best practices, and social media marketing.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to different platforms and audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., content management systems, SEO tools, social media platforms).

Preferred:

  • Experience in project management and brand strategy
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Familiarity with channel industry and target demographics

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for this position.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Compensation:

Compensation Range: $70,000-$85,000

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
