Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Lafayette College in the search for a Vice President for Advancement.

Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Advancement will provide strategic vision, leadership, and direction for Lafayette College's fundraising and alumni and family engagement efforts. The Vice President will oversee all aspects of institutional advancement, including major gifts, annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, donor relations and stewardship, athletic fundraising, and planned giving, while fostering strong relationships with alumni, parents, families, and friends. The Vice President will lead the College's comprehensive campaign while executing a strategic fundraising plan that supports institutional priorities. The Vice President will work closely with the President, Board of Trustees, senior leadership team, and advancement colleagues to cultivate and nurture a culture of philanthropy, enhance donor engagement, and ensure the successful achievement of campaign goals.

While each ranking prioritizes different factors, all have named Lafayette a leader among liberal arts colleges.U.S. News & World Reporthas named Lafayette the 31st Best National Liberal Arts College in the United States. In addition, it rated Lafayette among America's top 20 Best Undergraduate Engineering programs. InThe Wall Street Journal/College Pulse rankings, which puts the top 500 public and private colleges and universities together in one list, Lafayette is now ranked 58th. Separating out liberal arts colleges named in this ranking, Lafayette sits at number nine overall, and number three for top liberal arts colleges in the northeast.The Princeton Reviewnamed Lafayette the home of the 10th Best Career Services operation in the country, based on students' rankings of career and job placement services. Lafayette was also named 19th in the publication's Top Schools for Financial Aid among private schools.Washington Monthlyrecognized Lafayette among its "20 Best Colleges for Women in STEM," ranking the College fifth in chemical engineering and sixth in mechanical civil engineering. The magazine also ranked Lafayette as number 37 of 194 institutions in its 2024 Liberal Arts College Rankings.

Lafayette College seeks a dynamic, results-driven leader with exceptional relationship-building skills, strong strategic planning and campaign management experience, and expertise in major gift solicitation, donor stewardship, and alumni engagement. The successful candidate will bring excellent communication and public speaking skills and an ability to inspire and connect with diverse stakeholders from donors and corporate partners to faculty and alumni to the role. A deep understanding of fundraising best practices and data-driven decision-making is crucial for driving philanthropic success at Lafayette College as is an ability to lead and motivate advancement professionals while working cross-functionally with institutional leadership to align fundraising efforts with the mission and long-term goals of the College. A bachelor's degree is required for this position as is at least 10 years of experience in a senior leadership advancement role. The salary range for this position is $300,000 to $330,000 annually with executive compensation and additional benefits.
