POSITION SUMMARY: Oversees all aspects of the Clubs human resources department, including employee relations, compensation, payroll and benefits. PRIMARY DUTIES: 1. Establish, modify, document, and implement human resource policies and procedures for the Club. 2. Collaborate with the Controller and department managers to plan and implement compensation strategies to attract and retain staff. 3. Ensure each employee completes required paperwork to adhere to internal policies as well as legal requirements. 4. Coordinate and oversee the workers compensation program, including submitting injury claims, conducting investigations and following up as necessary with employees and claim coordinators. 5. Research, select and implement benefit plans as approved by the Controller & General Manager. 11. Ensure W2s are processed and delivered as required. 12. Reconcile workers compensation premiums paid and prepare for annual audit. 13. Assist with advertising employment opportunities and interviewing candidates when requested. 14. Update employee handbook with required information as needed. 15. Initiate and monitor policies relating to personnel actions and training and professional development programs. 16. Perform other duties as required. SUPERVISORY DUTIES: None KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. 2. Minimum two years previous human resource management or equivalent experience necessary. 3. Strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills. 4. Must be proficient in Excel 5. Professionalism and ability to be discreet with confidential and sensitive issues. 6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines. 6. Review and process bi-weekly and bonus payrolls. 7. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices and regulatory changes in human resources and employment law; communicate changes in policy, practice and resources as necessary to staff. 8. Analyze processes for improvement. Recommend and implement process changes where appropriate. 9. Administer the companys retirement plan; ensure enrollment; contributions, loans, separations and annual notices are handled within ERISA requirements. 10. Reconcile monthly benefit costs with monthly department allocation. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Owners, Managers, Members, Customers, and the General Public. MATHMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. WORKING CONDITIONS: A.
