Position Summary:
A Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the information technology (IT) strategy and operations within Mays Home Health and Affiliates. The CIO plays a key role in aligning technology with business objectives and driving digital transformation efforts. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will be responsible for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Integration will lead the planning, execution, and alignment of technology systems, infrastructure, and operations during the merger or acquisition process for Mays and Affiliates. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to ensure the successful merging of technology and systems between organizations.
Essential Job Duties and Requirements:
Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and implement the organizations IT strategy and vision to align with overall business objectives.
Digital Transformation: Lead the organization's digital transformation efforts, leveraging new technologies to enhance business processes, drive innovation, and improve customer experiences.
IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, infrastructure, and networks, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
Data Security and Compliance: Ensure that data security measures are in place to protect sensitive information, and that the organization complies with relevant regulations. Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and threat management.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the IT team, providing guidance on best practices, career development, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers, ensuring performance meets contractual obligations.
Collaboration with Executive Leadership: Work closely with Senior Leadership and Executives to ensure technology decisions support business goals.
Crisis Management: Lead IT crisis management efforts, including disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and system failure responses.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BS), relevant certifications, cybersecurity and project management required.
Experience: At least 10+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Expertise in managing healthcare IT systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, HIPAA compliance, and patient data security.
