Location: Philadelphia, PA

Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $60.00 USD Hourly

Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PCB Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will transform electrical engineering concepts into practical printed circuit board designs for RF, digital, or mixed technology applications. You will work closely with electrical engineers to ensure that designs meet customer specifications and manufacturing requirements-all within a collaborative, on-site environment.



Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) from electrical schematics and customer requirements.
  • Import schematics, create custom library parts, and execute layout and routing for circuit boards.
  • Use ECAD software-primarily for RF PCB design-to deliver efficient, high-performance design solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate schematics, parts lists, and technical concepts into effective PCB layouts.
  • Document design decisions through detailed engineering drawings and layouts that support the production process.
  • Support engineering change processes (ECR/ECO) and assist with the generation and management of Bills of Materials (BOM) using data management tools.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in PCB design, with a strong background in ECAD applications.
  • At least 2 years' experience working with Altium and AutoCAD.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible under U.S. export regulations ("US Person").
  • Proven ability to translate electrical engineering concepts into practical design solutions.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a technical field or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of overall experience as a PCB Designer.
  • At least 2 years of focused experience in RF PCB design.
  • Familiarity with IPC specifications for PCB design and manufacturability (e.g., IPC-2221).
  • Working knowledge of ASME Y-14 drawing standards and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills and a solid grasp of basic engineering principles.
  • Experience in the defense industry.
  • Active DOD clearance (if available) is a plus.
