Summary
The Stockroom Team Lead's primary responsibilities are accurately picking and relieving parts from inventory for all jobs, as well as staging materials for these jobs, while managing the pull schedule, cycle counts, and all other portions of the stockroom.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Schedule stock pulls based off the master schedule
Pull, label, stage, and issue materials accurately from stock for all jobs per pick list requirements
Coordinate material shortages with supervisor and report additional inventory requirements to Purchasing
Reconcile materials back into inventory as necessary
Perform daily cycle counts, review variances, and document root causes
Provide day-to-day guidance, training and direction to the Stockroom Clerk
Stock incoming materials in their proper locations
Manage safety stock levels and suggest adjustments
Proactively provide continuous improvement suggestions and lead projects in the stockroom
Manage inventory discrepancies and correct as needed
Disposition materials as necessary
Maintain general housekeeping and organization within the stockroom
Effectively communicate with all departments and personnel
Follows and adheres to safety and quality protocols
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Possess strong attention to detail, particularly with part numbers and inventory counts
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, or learn to proficiently read blueprints
Working knowledge of MRP systems, Syteline preferred
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to effectively train and lead a team
Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment with competing priorities
Education and Experience
Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
One (1) year minimum related stockroom experience required
Experience leading projects and/or teams of people strongly preferred
