To lubricate the chains of the electrode driers, keep assigned areas cleaned and organized, and provide other assigned support functions for the Extruding Department. Reports directly to the Shift Foreman 24/27.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure safety, workmanship, product quality, machine health, and productivity in the performance of the job.
Make batches of graphite lube, fill graphite lube tanks on running lines at proper frequency, maintain proper flow of graphite onto the bucket chains, and ensure equipment is clean and maintained.
Organize, clean, and maintain A-aisle.
Clean individual graphite systems on each line including the pipes, collection trays, floor under buckets, floor around line, and any other areas that may get graphite spills and/or residue.
Clean wire out of driers for allow changeovers and general cleanliness.
Vacuum out non-asbestos containing driers based on departmental schedule or as needed.
Review, understand, and follow the departmental procedures, Work Instructions, EW Specifications, SSW Specifications, Plant Rules and Regulations and the Job Hazard Analysis that are associated with the performance of this job.
Obey all safety rules and maintain the cleanliness of the work area.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Foreman 24/27.
Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.
Job Requirements
Must have a high school education or equivalent experience.
Must be able to read, write and do general math well enough to keep the records associated with this job.
Must be able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.
Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious.
